Let’s Explore the "Breathing Kindergarten Villas"

The highly expected villas kindergarten which is the largest in the country---Hopeland International Kindergarten Meijiang campus will grandly open in September. You know what? The 24 pure wooden villas were all imported from Europe and cost hundreds of millions RMB, then what are the benefits for children to live in the pure wooden villas?

Wooden building is worldwide mainstream product for relaxation and accommodation. Its designs and construction techniques have developed to a very high level. Our wooden villas are built of natural wood whose lines are beautiful and colors are soft. They are warm in winter and cool in summer, preserve moisture and insulate heat. Wooden housing can persist for a long time due to wood's natures.

As wood is a kind of materials that is natural, healthy and of affinity, the wooden villas are the environment friendly and healthy high-grade dwelling houses. Their heat preservation (thermal insulation) performance is excellent and can save over 40% energy than ordinary brickconcrete buildings. Their heat preservation performance is 400 times better than that of steel, 16 times than that of concrete.

The wooden villas in Meijiang campus applied modern producing technology and were processed into different section bars of wall, then went through several procedures such as inflaming retarding process, antiseptic treatment to make the materials firm and durable. They show remarkable stability against the sinking stress, and perform well on dry resistance and aging resistance.

Then, what about the fireproof performance of wooden villas? The entire wood used water-based flame-retarded treating agent in flaming retarding process enables the material to form a charring layer on the surface in case of fire which is called the carbonization effect. The low conductivity of the layer can effectively prevent the fire spread inward, thus ensure the whole wooden construction not be destroyed easily in a long time period.

Wooden villas can perform well in an earthquake since they applied the joggle constructing method and the main structures are cross connected and have good stability. Even if the strong earthquake moved the whole building from its foundation, its structure is often intact. After the 1995 Kobe earthquake in Japan, most of the retained houses were made of wood.

Someone may worry that wood is poor at resisting moisture, but it is not the problem for our wooden villas. All wood used went through drying process which made the moisture content of the wood down to lower than 19% and its moistureproof performance can be even 10 times better than that of brickconcrete materials.
