Light fragrance of reed leaves, bear theweight of beautiful love in the world, threads wrap up the Zongzi, stands forthe goodwill from others. The fifth day of lunar May, is a traditional Chinesefestival --- "Dragon Boat Festival", every Chinese family will hangsticks of folium artemisiae argyi, hold dragon boat competition, eat Zongzi,wear perfume satchels which make the festive atmosphere very lively.
As the Dragon Boat Festival is coming,Hopeland International Kindergarten children decided to greet the arrival ofthe Dragon Boat Festival in special way.
Children of Shuishang Campus watched thevideo of "Qu Yuan Jumped into the River" together under the guidanceof our teacher. They got the chance to know the story of the great patrioticpoet "Qu Yuan". They took the magic Zongzi which made by themselvesand played on the dragon boat which was beautifully decorated.
Children of Haiyi Campus drew rainbowdragons, made sachets and sat together to paint Qu Yuan's poem with rice grainsin which way to touch the ancients feelings.
Thanks for the Dragon Boat Festival themedactivities, our children get knowledge of the traditional Dragon Boat Festivalcustoms, get to know the patriotic poet Qu Yuan. Their sense of national pridehas been inspired in the process and their cognition of excellent traditionalculture has improved.
